Last week, Thomas Nägele, President of the Crypto Country Association (CCA) and Managing Partner of NÄGELE Attorneys at Law LLC, took part in a panel at the CEPS event in Brussels entitled, “What laws for the token economy?” Among the guests were representatives from various governments across Europe and the European Institutions, entrepreneurs, and corporate representatives; the event focused on the importance of a legal framework within the ever-growing token economy, taking the example of the Liechtenstein Blockchain Act, as well as on drawing a comparison to draft bills of other jurisdictions.
Following a presentation on the Liechtenstein Blockchain Act (Trusted Technologies Law, TTL) by Dr. Thomas Dünser, senior advisor at the Ministry for General Government Affairs and Finance, Thomas Nägele elaborated on some of the core principles of the TTL, and what makes the law so fundamentally different from the proposed legislation of other jurisdictions.
Prior to the CEPS event, the Crypto County Association (CCA) sponsored a dinner for an informal discussion of the Liechtenstein Blockchain Act.
Letzte Woche nahm der Präsident der Crypto Country Association (CCA) und Gründer der Kanzlei NÄGELE Rechtsanwälte GmbH, Thomas Nägele, an einem Panel der CEPS-Veranstaltung in Brüssel mit dem Titel "What laws for the token economy?" teil. Unter den Gästen befanden sich Vertreter verschiedener Regierungen aus ganz Europa, der Europäischen Institutionen, Unternehmer und Entscheidungsträger. Im Mittelpunkt stand die Bedeutung eines klaren rechtlichen Rahmens für die „Token Economy“ am Beispiel des Liechtensteinischen Blockchain Gesetzes und der Vergleich mit Gesetzesentwürfen anderer Jurisdiktionen.
Nach dem Vortrag von Dr. Thomas Dünser, Mitarbeiter im Ministerium für Präsidiales und Finanzen, über das liechtensteinische Blockchain-Gesetz (Gesetzes über auf vertrauenswürdigen Technologien (VT) beruhende Transaktionssysteme; VT-Gesetz; VTG) erläuterte Thomas Nägele einige der Grundprinzipien des TTL und was dieses Gesetz so grundlegend von den Gesetzesvorlagen anderer Jurisdiktionen unterscheidet.
Am Vorabend lud die Crypto Country Association (CCA) e.V. zur Diskussion des Blockchain-Gesetzes bei einem gemütlichen Abendessen.
